CATHY'S STORY

"My husband, Chris, enjoyed going to Knightswood and was always happy to go. He used to tell me little stories about his day so I knew he was comfortable with everybody there. He did a lot of things that he didn`t get to do at home, particularly on a Monday at the Me, Myself & I group. Towards the end of his time at Knightswood, he was unable to voice his feelings but he was still comfortable and relaxed about going. He liked the surroundings, it is a very calm place in a lovely setting.    

For me personally, it was a relief to know that he was being cared for by people who understood his problems. The support we both received from Knightswood was tremendous. All through lockdown, they kept in touch regularly with help and support. Sometimes just talking helps put things into perspective and Knightswood always had time for me.     

Knightswood has a lovely relaxed feeling and everyone has so much time and patience with the visitors. I would happily recommend it.   I would like to give everybody connected with Knightswood a great big pat on the back for doing such a great job. Long may you continue...  THANK YOU EVERYONE!!"
