From the moment we collect you from your home, we look after everything for you.
You can choose to visit Monday to Friday, from one to five days a week. As an independent care provider for people of all ages who need care – not just elderly and infirm people – you will find that we have a homely feel with a friendly personality.
Knightswood Day Care Centre is located in a converted barn in the Dengie Hundred countryside village of Asheldham. The building itself has been purposefully designed to make your visit just perfect.
We are surrounded by the tranquil Essex countryside, with our lounge looking out over our beautiful, designer built garden (thanks to Channel5) and two paddocks with horses and ponies.
The first-class facilities are designed for ease, with everything you need on one level, making all of our amenities accessible.
Rooms are big, bright and airy – a nice place to spend the day. Your freshly cooked meals are served in a restaurant-style setting where you will be waited on.
Welcoming hot drinks, stimulating activities, a tasty hot lunch, afternoon tea, companionship and entertainment all here waiting for you.

Of course, it’s not just about the building. You’ll want to know about the people you’ll meet here. Come and take a look around and meet the people. Then you can decide for yourself if this is the place for you.
At Knightswood, you can enjoy mind and body stimulating activities and companionship, but we go further in attending to your needs and requirements. In-house facilities include a therapy and shower room with hoist to provide personal care with respect and dignity. A visiting hairdresser can give you a new hair-do and and a chiropodist can help with those hard-to-reach places.
Personal care is undertaken with respect and dignity, with a hoist available for those who need it.
Your health and safety is of paramount importance with unnecessary hazards removed and up-to-date fire safety precautions built in.
All precautions will be undertaken to ensure your safety with regards to Covid-19 with regular sanitization of all areas, social distancing measures, staff wearing PPE and continuous risk assessments to ensure we are doing everything we can to keep you and our staff safe.
